A Word document uses mathematical systems of equations in curly braces.

Every formula in the system is centered.

Question: How can I align formulas differently (left aligned, equal sign)?

Answer 1, authority 100%

There is such a strange magic, I found out by accident

stand in front of the equal sign on each line and add an ampersand. The word does not show it, but it aligns with these ampersands.

You can also place in front of x and y and align by variables

Word shows them if you enable the display of special characters

Answer 2

You can also put an ampersand in front of the beginning of each of the expressions and it works too
